"Let Sleeping Dogs Lie" - Hand Applique by Gloria

I had so much fun quilting this adorable quilt.  Gloria mentioned this will be a gift for a granddaughter.

The quilting is custom quilting, Hobbs 80/20 batting and I used a 100 w thread - Invisifil by Wonderfil for most of the quilting and Mirage variegated for some of the puppy fur.

Goal Accomplished - Way to go Tammy!

Dear friend and customer Tammy set a goal for herself when she started quilting that she'd love to see one of her quilts up on the Wainwright Hotel at Hertitage Park Quilt Festival.

This was the year Tammy -  sooo  very happy for you sweetie.  Very very well deserved!

Anniversary Photo Quilt by Mary

I am always amazed at the beauty of these photo quilts and am positive the recipients will be absolutely tickled pink when they open this truly one of a kind anniversary gift.  Mary you did a wonderful job - you should be very very proud.

Mary made this beautiful quilt, I for a relative - maybe even her Mom and Dad ( note to self - self you need to make clearer notes).  Mary if you read this post and I am wrong please send me an e-mail and I will change it.

The quilting is very simple freehand double swirls and we used a soft pastel variegated thread - Silco by Wonderfil and Warm/Natural batting.

Love is in the Air - by Susan

This bright cheery quilt is another one of Susan's lovely quilts.  The quilting is freehand hearts.

Awesome Scrappy Quilt by Susan

This is another wonderful example of what can be done with those scraps we all have laying around the studio.  Susan did a great job putting hers together to make this great quilt. Love that saw tooth border Susan.

The quilting is freehand "spiky swirls" and the thread is variegated Tutti by Wonderfil.

"Hunter Star" by Elizabeth

Love these Hunter Star quilts!  Elizabeth is a wonderful customer and quilting friend.  She drops quilts off, picks quilts up and takes time to chat and catch up. We laugh, we cry and all in all have a great time talking about quilting of course, grand children, dogs, and our upcoming trip to Houston in the fall.

A year or so ago Elizabeth saw I was working on my Hunter Star quilt (not quilted yet, I might add).  She asked about it, and I told her about Debbie Tuckers Rapid Fire Hunter Star DVD and ruler I used to make mine and how much I really enjoyed the process and ultimately the final outcome.   Well say no more - away she went and turned out this absolutely gorgeous Hunter Star quilt

Elizabeth mentioned this quilt will be for an elderly lady friend who lives in her neighbourhood.  The quilting is a freehand double swirl, thread is a variegated cotton thread - Tutti by Wonderfil and Hobbs 80/20 batting. The light fabric is actually more rose colored but for the life of me I could not get my camera to provide truer colors.

Maxine Quilt by Suzanne

Here is another great example of what can be done with those panels we just have to have, and pick up at quilt shows, on- line shopping and in our local quilt stores.  Suzanne took two of these panels, put them together, added a couple of borders and came up with a wonderful fun quilt.  Fast, easy and very very effective.

Suzanne has a friend that is struggling with health problems and wanted to see if she could brighten things up for her with this quilt. I can't imagine anyone not having a good chuckle when reading these funny funny captions.  Great work Suzanne and prayers go out to your friend.

Needs more practice! Angela Walter's Design

I really liked this design by Angela Walters and wanted to give it a try.  When I first saw it I thought it would be great for masculine quilts and I'm always on the look out for something suitable for men's quilts.

This top was made for Victoria Quilts by a very giving person and quilted using my rendition of Angela's design.  I really think with a bit more practice this would fit in very well into my repertoire of designs.

Tripalong by Julie

I know from speaking with customers that this pattern has been a very popular one this past while.  Julie said she had a lot of fun making this very cool quilt using some of her scraps (a girl after my own heart). LOL

The quilting is freehand double swirls, Hobbs 80/20 batting and lovely variegated thread by
Wonderfil.

"All Fenced In" by Lori

Lori is a first time customer and just starting out quilting.  This lovely quilt is one of her first quilts and she mentioned the name is "All Fenced In".  Lori did an awesome job on this quilt and I understand she is already working on another project. So wonderful to see these young women taking up the art of quilting - way to go ladies!

The quilting on this beauty is freehand daisy/swirls/funky hearts.  Lori gave me free reign with the design so I just went all out and had a lot of fun.  The batting is Hobbs 80/20 and the thread is a yummy lime green variegated - Tutti by Wonderfil.
